The Pacha Foundation extends aid across Ibiza and Formentera!
Pacha media team said:” The Pacha Foundation, committed to social welfare and sustainable development, continues to extend support to additional associations. Following the success of the initial meeting with some of the associations, Josep Antoni Escandell, Director of The Pacha Foundation from The Pacha Group, and Alba Pau, Trustee of The Pacha Foundation, held another meeting with additional partner organisations they have supported. In addition to the donation, the objective is to foster closer relationships, thereby enhancing the foundation’s ability to contribute and involve itself more deeply in efforts to assist and support these communities.
Through the donation of 45,000 euros to this select group of projects within its total 2024
program portfolio, these projects aim to support and enrich the lives of individuals with
neurological conditions, Asperger Syndrome, cancer, homeless, elderly individuals, and those in vulnerable situations across Ibiza and Formentera.
AEMIF is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of those with neurological conditions like acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, and ALS. They offer neurophysiotherapy, speech therapy, psychology, social work, neuropsychology, neurology, and neuronutrition services to 157 individuals. The foundation aids this association through the project Therapeutic Material Acquisition, which aims to equip their new centre with necessary therapeutic materials.
AIF supports families in the Pitiusas with members diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. They provide education, assessment, and advice on personal, educational, social, and occupational matters, serving 129 associates, 149 direct users, and 300 indirect beneficiaries. The foundation backs this association with the project Comprehensive Care for Asperger Syndrome, offering holistic care from various professionals.
Javier Vergara is a Paralympic triathlon athlete who, after an accident led to the amputation of his right leg, is dedicated to preparing for the 2028 Paralympic Games and 2032 Australian Games. He also raises awareness about adaptive sports. The foundation supports him through the project Support for Race Preparation and Awareness Activities, which covers expenses related to race preparation, sports equipment, and travel.
Caritas Ibiza provides humanitarian aid through programs for homeless families, the elderly, prison inmates, economically disadvantaged families, and immigrants. The foundation contributes to this organisation via the project Homeless Shelter Establishment, aiming to establish a homeless shelter in Ibiza for up to 20 individuals and hire three social workers.
Cruz Roja Ibiza focuses on social integration for individuals at risk of poverty, equal
opportunities, and support against discrimination. The foundation assists this organisation
through the project Safe Points Initiative, which sets up information stations to support elderly individuals living alone with tasks like healthcare and banking.
APAAC supports individuals affected by cancer, supplementing public health services for
patients and families in Ibiza and Formentera. The foundation aids this association through the project Comprehensive Cancer Support, providing professional assistance to support cancer patients and their families.
These contributions demonstrate The Pacha Foundation’s holistic strategy towards driving
positive impact on Ibiza, prioritising long-term partnerships and aiming to improve the quality of life of local communities and the natural resources of its environment.”
