Ethereal opening season at Las Dalias Ibiza presents: Carnival!

Ethereal returns to the Ibiza scene with a massive bang to celebrate a wild Carnival at the marvellous Las Dalias, bringing a kaleidoscope of electronic music acts, artistic shows, and an amazing energy. Always inimitable, the resourceful party prepares for a season bursting with talent and international artists. Kicking off at 12:00 noon this Sunday 19 February 2022, a smashing new season bursts into action at Las Dalias and its sparkling Akasha Club after 18:00. As always, the sparkling party will wow revellers from daytime through the night, with live sets, visual art show, a market, brunch, live sets, visual art, live painting, a kids’ corner, art workshops, and much more, all in line with the beautiful energy of the north of the island as it busts open the doors of perception with the real spirit of Ibiza. The multitalented Juan Amigo will be getting the party started at noon with a three-hour electronic selection. The Ibiza resident navigates genres, delivering a unique combo of Balearic, nu disco, house, Italo, raw funk, disco, hip-hop, trip-hop, afro-beat, ambient, synth and more but with an edge, as well as more than a dab of eclectic sounds for leftfield and indie lovers. Renowned for creating unforgettable moments, the Amigo creates a unique vibe by reading the crowd and injecting emotion into the dance floor, taking it all to the next level with his solid groove. Musical project by Javier Ferrer, the popular resident at Storytellers events, AIGUA takes over next with a live electronica DJ set, including vocals and guitar, in the Garden. The Ibizan DJ and producer has shared the booth and studio with some of the finest names in the industry, including Sven Vath, Avicii, Steve Lawler, Black Coffee, and many more, besides being one of 200 Ableton Certified Trainers, a testament to his mastery of the tool. Having been Ushuaïa’s studio CEO, Javier also founded Metrica Sound Studios, as a specialist in immersive audio and the use of music as a therapeutic tool. Working along the intersection between music, science, art, and technology, AIGUA creates sounds like no other and will be performing live The action moves inside the sparkling Akasha Club from 6:00 pm. Taking to the decks next, island star Ibàn Mendoza will deliver an astounding set, as he is known to do. Revered across the island and beyond for his superpower to enthral dance floors, Ibàn has starred in all of the island’s finest nightclubs for decades, including DC10, Amnesia, Privilege, Pacha, and the late Space. Crowned Best DJ in Ibiza by the DJ Awards in 2014, he distinguishes himself for the sway and vision of his musical repertoire as well as his drive and impeccable skill behind the decks. Directly from Berlin, the guest star of the evening is the Argentinian electronic music composer, producer, and live performer, not to mention a sound and light installation artist, Alejandro Mosso. This prolific studio prodigy has collected a rich discography of more than 40 EPs and 8 albums for world-renowned labels since 2002 on industry classics the likes Cocoon, Hivern Discs, Third Ear, and Sushitech, while also launching projects lush with musicality on Do Not Sit, Akbal, When We Dip XYZ, Sol Selectas, and his own Mosso imprint, collaborating with genre-defining artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Burnt Friedman, and many more. With his distinctive style of “musical club music,”Alejandro has balances electronic and acoustic sounds, rocking the intersection between deep house, minimal techno, tribal, and melodic dance music. Mosso’s live show is the quintessential centrepiece of his artistic career. Touring globally, he has performed his live set across North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, including esteemed events and venues such as Fabric, Amnesia, Space, Womb, Rex, Watergate, KaterBlau, Hive, Cityfox, Caprices Festival, and many more. An integral part of the Ethereal family from the get-go, resident DJ Edoardo Marvaso will be taking to the decks next. Drawing inspiration from the musical lushness of Ibiza, the island-based DJ combines modern electronica and vintage grooves, mixing techno with house both in his productions and DJ sets. Working in electronic music since 2000, when he launched his own record label and started touring the world, the music producer and DJ has also been the mind behind the first editions of Sonica festival, the first-ever electronic music festival in Italy. Now he is also in charge of the Ethereal record label and booking agency. On top of his residencies on Ibiza, he has been a regular guest at international events such as Glastonbury Festival, Universo Paralello, Voov Experience, Fusion Festival, Rainbow Serpent, Creamfields, Boom, Glade, as well as releasing tracks on Vapour, Tropical Beats, 7 Oz, SFS Music, Sweep 181 Quanticman and Nuhar. Also taking care of tunes, DJ and producer Fell Reis will keeping up the energy with his vigorous sets, top-notch productions, and dancefloor bangers. Ibiza-based, the Brazilian DJ has played at the island’s finest venues, including Space, Café del Mar, Privilege, Sankeys and The Zoo Project, and he has been hailed by the likes of WhoMadeWho, CamelPhat, Sasha, Nic Fanciulli, Roger Sanchez, and Joris Voorn, to name a few. On the kinaesthetic level, Paula and Nicole will be wowing guests with different types of light shows and fire performances. A favourite among island residents, Ibiza lovers and tourists alike, the party has made a name for itself beyond the island for offering an authentic space for both artists and guests to play out their imagination and uniqueness.
