Ibiza Light festival announces the 2021 edition that will take place October 22nd & 23rd!
The organizers said:”Next Friday, October 22, when the sun goes down, Dalt Vila, the citywalled town of Ibiza declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, will be transformed into an astonishing light show thanks to Ibiza Light Festival, Ibiza’s art, culture and technology festival, celebrating this 2021 its fifth edition.
Titled Inside Out Edition, Ibiza Light Festival will exhibit for two days, in a privileged location, the profile innovative and creative distinctive of the Balearic island, linked to new technologies and the experimental use of light through 12 large-format site-specific installations and hybrid techniques, with special prominence of Works made by local collectives and artists, to which guests from other places will join from Spain.
«The objective of Ibiza Light Festival is to place Ibiza on the map of new art forms connected with light and technology, give visibility to all the talent that Ibiza has and establish an exchange of ideas continuous between creators living on the island and abroad, in addition to putting in value, from a technological approach, the cultural and architectural heritage of Ibiza “, explain from the organization, which underlines the high quality of the content of an edition that returns to the live format after the conditions that led to the health situation premiering the best of locations. In addition, the festival incorporates by for the first time a workshop section taught by experts in lighting and multimedia creativity and leading technology brands.
The one-hour tour starts from the Plaza de España, next to the old town hall of Ibiza, andit runs along the seafront of the walled city at its eastern end to conclude at the bastion of Santa Lucia and its panoramic views of the sea. 4,500 square meters of surface, continents of buildings andemblematic monuments, will be the setting for the surprising installations exhibited by the fifth edition of the festival, made by Improbable Films, Hypnótica, PiroLaser FX, Ataraxia, MadVisuals_Team, Jordi 8LascoEl Imaginario, ACROBATI-K, Victor Vitorino and Pedro Comesaña. As special guests, it is worth highlighting the participation of the founders of the multi-award winning studio Ledscontrol, the artists Rebeca Sánchez and Miquel Clot.
