There is always fun in Ibiza, don’t worry.
And here is a short guide for those who decide to spend their holidays in the middle of August on the island.
The discos, as you well know, are closed.
Anyway Cova Santa (Amnesia group) and Ushuaïa Ibiza , this one with the new concept “Palmarama” are open and host artists as Jamie Jones, Guy Gerber, Black Coffee: you enter only with seats seated at the table, to book you must contact them through the email addresses.
Also the elegant venue Lìo Ibiza, by Pacha Group, is open, but if you want to go in the exclusive restaurant cabaret you absolutely need a reservation.
The Blue Marlin Ibiza is open, and hosts every day of the valid resident DJs and at the weekend guests of the caliber of Pete Tong.
Also in this case the reservation is mandatory. in the San Antonio area, you can witness breathtaking sunsets in unmissable locations such as Cafè Mambo, Cafè Del Mar and Hostal La Torre, all with excellent background music.
Also in San Antonio is the Hotel Pikes open, which organizes beautiful evenings, naturally laughing at the Spanish laws. Also in this case the reservation is mandatory.
If you are in the San Antonio area, in Port Des Torrent, Alma Beach- Eat is life hosts iconic artists such as John Acquaviva and Nima Gorji every week. Not to be missed.
And the Ibiza Rocks Hotel is also open in San Antonio. For connoisseurs.
If you are looking for a “different Ibiza”, the hippy market Las Dalias is not to be missed, and during the week DJs like Los Suruba play every Thursday. For all events in Las Dalias click here.
In the evening, in addition to the classic visit to the shops in the Old City,a walk is a must in Marina Botafoch, where the IT restaurant, the brand new Cera, that’s already a cult venue, and the Piccola Cucina organize dinners and the music is always by some good DJ (and there is no shortage of surprise guests).
Always in the center, at NUI Ibiza, the former B12 area, Lift organizes events with valid DJs on weekends. You will find all the details on their official facebook page (click here).
Let’s go back to the beaches: Cala Bassa is always a must, the sunset at the Cala Comte Ashram is always wonderful, and Salinas beach is also worth a visit: it is quite crowded in mid-August but remains beautiful.
If you go to Salinas, on Friday and Sunday afternoon to Sa Trinxa, one of the most iconic places on the island, Franco Moiraghi plays.
We move to Playa d’en Bossa, where cult beach clubs such as Nassau Beach, Tanit Beach, Coco Beach, Bora Bora every day offer a very valid background music with DJs from all over the world. d’en Bossa – Tantra is open and hosts good DJs every night and in the area there are many music bars, such as the Dunes, where you can have a cocktail and make new friends.
As you can see, even though the big discos are closed, the “isla blanca” never disappoints and always offers many opportunities to have fun!
Happy holidays in Ibiza!
