A few week ago Black Coffee played in Naples.
Before Black Coffee played Fiona Kraft (in the pictures below), a French Dj and producer. We were impressed by the elegance of her set, so we met her the same day, and we decided to organize an interview… and here you have it!
IBN: Let’s talk about Fiona: how did you start as a Dj?
Fiona: “I decided to turn my lifelong passion for music into a real profession by starting to work as a DJ in 2014. Initially I was resident dj at The Platform, the venue that was located on a barge. Than I started to play in clubs in Lyon and some further experience I gained by playing for prestigious private and corporate events in Paris. I started to produce my own music in 2018. “
IBN: The sound of Fiona Kraft…please describe us and which are the artists essentials in your background?
Fiona: “My style is characterized by unique blend of afrohouse vibe and techno drums. Artists that influenced my sound the most are Black Coffee, Maceo Plex and Manoo.“
IBN: Fiona and Ibiza: how is your relationship with the White island? (I need to do at least one question related to Ibiza)
Fiona: “When i came to ibiza for the first time, I immediately felt people’s anguish for electronic music, but above all a lot of positive energy. I listened to Solomun at Destino and Maceo Plex at Amnesia and there I let myself to be transported into their universe.“
IBN: Fiona on the road, which have been the most intriguing venues where have you played?
Fiona: “I played in several beautiful venues, I like to mention « Le musée de l’homme » in paris because I felt really very small .. and at « L’Ambassade » in Lyon because I experienced for the first time a very strange mixer , I had the impression of piloting a plane .. it was very unsettling”
