Ibiza By Night meets Samuele Sartini: the interview!

Following a wealth of critically acclaimed releases on Sirup Music over the past few years, including Don’t Look Back, Symphony, Turn Up and My Religion, prolific Italian hitmaker and internationally celebrated producer Samuele Sartini (in the picture below) now makes his eagerly anticipated return to the iconic Swiss imprint, with the announcement of his latest musical creation Medicine.

Teaming up with fellow Italian artist Fedo Mora and the uber-talented vocalist Amanda Wilson – who many will remember from Sardini’s international chart-topping 2010 hit Love You Seek – the  threesome come together to unleash a brand new collaboration of intriguing proportions.

Medicine is the meeting of three musical masterminds, uniting to deliver what looks set to be one of the songs of the summer.

Ibiza By Night  caught up with Samuele to find out more…

IBN: Hi Samuele, welcome to Ibiza By Night. How are you today?

Samuele:  “I’m very well thank you, I’m impatient to return to my true life!”

IBN: First things first, let’s talk about your new single ‘Medicine’ on Sirup Music. How did it come about and how was it working with Fedo Mora and Amanda Wilson?

Samuele: “It was very simple, when you have the opportunity of working with good artists like Federico and Amanda everything becomes natural and fun! I had already worked with Amanda Wilson ten years ago in realising the International Hit ‘Seek Bromance’ with AVICII (Vocals from Samuele Sartini & Amanda Wilson “Love U Seek”).”

IBN:How has the last year been for you and how have you managed the pandemic? What have you been doing to keep yourself busy whilst not being able to travel?

Samuele: “I’m very pleased with the way I have dealt this year of pandemic. I have worked a lot in the recording studio and I have also focussed very much on the care of my body and my mind. I really did a good personal journey!”

IBN:After the Covid do you think that there will be important changes for the music industry? If so, what?

Samuele:” I don’t think so! I think there’ll be changes for the club scene and
we’ll return to more meritocratic dynamics and music will be the queen again.

IBN: Let’s talk about Ibiza. How is your relationship with the White island over the years?

Samuele:”Ibiza is and has always been, a lighthouse with regard to the state-of-the-art of the club scene from which to inspire. I had the honour of being able to perform on the island.

IBN:Do you have any plans to return at some point this year?

Samuele:”Not Yet, but I hope to have good news soon!”

IBN: Each artist has a particular anecdote about Ibiza. What’s yours?

Samuele:”One of the moments I remember with most emotion was sharing time and being able to exchange opinions with one of my icons: Erick Morillo.”

IBN:You have been in the music industry for many years now. What advice would you give to a young person who wants to start doing this job?

Samuele:”Three magic words: passion, consistency and personality. It’s important to recognise the fashions but not to submem. Find your way and travelled vigourously !”

Last: what are your upcoming projects that you can talk about?

Samuele:”I’m working in the studio with Diva Usa singer Dawn Tallman on a new song called “Galaxy”. Will be released on next autumn. House Music will never died!”

Thanks Samuele!
