Social Music City (Milan) becomes a structure for Coronavirus emergency!
The important news was given today and was reported by ANSA (click here).
The 20 thousand square meters of Social Music City, since years one of the most influent European festival (where played several times artists as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola) were granted on free loan to Municipality of Milan for the coronavirus emergency.
The space was granted to the municipality until April 30th: the concession – is is explained – is to be considered tacitly renewable until the end of the state of emergency.
Preparations, use and management will be by the Civil Protection and Emergency. The structure will have 36 rooms equipped.
ANSA reported that Riccardo Lai, manager of Social Music City said: “In such a serious moment for the whole world, Social Music City wants to make its contribution in this battle that involves all of us, aware of the indescribable effort to which all the people who are subjected they work day and night in hospitals to save lives – explains Lai – Our eternal gratitude goes to them, a message that starts from Social but that I am sure all professionals of evening and night entertainment have in common. Ours is a sector composed of entrepreneurs and contributing to create jobs and an important supply chain. Duty, in an emergency like this, to do our part. Social Music City will return with its music and its DJs at the end of this emergency “.
