The pictures of the night: Ibiza By Night meets Nicoveroph!

The night has its protagonists:  one of them is “the photographer”… someone  who  becomes  the” storyteller of the night” using his images.

In these months we met  (and became friends) of Nicolò Vero aka Nicoveroph, an Italian  photographer that works for exclusive venues as Volt Milan and – of course- successfully also in the world of fashion.

Ibiza By Night met Nicoveroph (in the pictures below) and we talked about his  work experiences.

IBN: Let’s talk about Nico

Nicoveroph: My name is Nicolò Vero but everybody knows me as Nicoveroph. I live and work in Milan and I am a freelance photographer, highly skilled on lighting techniques. I come from Puglia where my career as a photographer started, especially in the local clubs.

IBN: You work as a day photographer and also as a night photographer: which are the main differences?

Nicoveroph:Actually there are no main differences between day and night pictures, I believe that night life for a photographer it’s just a challenge that I passionately accepted. Basically what really changes are circumstances and also different uses of lights: both of them are means to tell stories in different ways. The day life of a photographer is interesting as well, especially when it comes to food that is actually my favorite field together with fashion.

IBN: Nico in Ibiza: how started?

Nicoveroph: Almost a year ago I started dealing with Ibiza working for private parties: I’ve been fascinated by the vibes of the island. I think that ibiza is one of the most important stage of the music scene worldwide and I hope I’ll have new chances to work again in a place that I already deeply love.

IBN: Tell us something about your experience in  Milan…

Nicoveroph: Milan for me has been a disclosure, it changed everything about me, my feelings, the way I use to work, my day life, but not my accent: even if I really try to work on my “cosa” the first answer they ask me is: “are you from Puglia?” Some times ago while I was working in Milan by night I noticed one of the many beautiful girls in the club; she impressed me so that I felt the need to shoot her, so I went to her and I asked “Can I take a picture of you?”. The answer was: “Are you from Puglia?”. Well, I don’t know if you can see that I am an open book but when it comes to situations like these I’m happy because I know that I left home to grow but home is where your heart is.

IBN: Next steps…

Nicoveroph:I have so many future projects, my final goal is to become an authentic reportage photographer, traveling all around the world and telling stories with my pictures, especially among so many different people and against lights. I’ll keep on studying to improve my techniques (and also my english) and I want people to know me for who I really am, for what I do and how I do it. In 2020 i hope I’ll have the chance to work abroad, of course in Ibiza.

Thanks Nicoveroph!
