We are very happy to publish this news. Robert Miles was a great friend of Ibiza By Night and we were very sad when we lost him.
Now his project OpenLab will return, and this is really a beautiful news.
This is the announcement:”We are honored to announce that OpenLab will return for the New Year in memory of OpenLab’s visionary founder, our friend and brother, Robert Miles.
As you may know, last year (May 8th 2017) OpenLab and the wider community suffered a huge loss when Robert passed away. This was an incredibly difficult time for all of us; his family, friends and colleagues alike. And it was with huge sadness that at the beginning of 2018 we reluctantly switched off the transmitters.
Over the last year we continued to work tirelessly behind the scenes, knowing that Robert passionately believed in the platform that he built for the OpenLab community. And now, as a result of our total dedication to that vision and in consultation with Robert’s family, friends and OpenLab’s partners, we will be taking the station forward with most of the original team.
We are incredibly proud to make this announcement. For us, the most important task at hand is preserving Robert’s legacy and ensuring the remarkable independent creative platform he built, will live on.
OpenLab will return online at www.openlab.fm in January 2019, and on 106.4 FM in Ibiza from April 2019.
