Burn revealed the names of the three finalists: Lorenzo de Blanck, Dualitic & Furkan Kurt!
The organizers said:”Bootcamp is officially over! With the end of another stage of the competition, the judges had to agree on our final three, which wasn’t an easy task, as the level of talent was really high this year. As their last chance to show their best performance, the eight contestants left had to mix for 20 minutes in front of legends like Carl Cox and Luciano. Bringing some killer tunes, from Funky to House and some dark Acid, they put everything they have left on the decks. After a lot of back and forth, a decision was made, Lorenzo De Blanck, Dualitic and Furkan Kurt will stay for a month residency on the island. The three finalists are incredibly different from each other, but they all have the same goal: become a heavyweight DJ in Ibiza. “
These are the profiles as descriptor by Burn:
Lorenzo De Blanck
This “Bello Ragazzo”, came to island with a smile on his face since day one, you could tell, he was genuinely happy to be there. With a pure love for vinyl, De Blanck brought a small portion of his collection to Ibiza and impressed everyone with his music taste. He also delivered a great set during Kappa FuturFestival and four different tracks during the Production Challenge. Bravissimo!
Dualitic
Coming from a small village near Lyon in France, Dualitic, stayed on his ground from most of the competition. From the first Play-Out, until the last Mix Off, Dualitic set the bar high, in terms of music selection and technique behind the decks. With a particular love for Funky and classic House Music, he closed his set with one the greatest tracks ever made, “I Feel Love”, by Donna Summer & Giorgio Moroder, where not even Carl Cox was able to stay still and not sign along. Vive la France!
Furkan Kurt
Working as a professional DJ in Turkey for the past three years, Kurt came to the island to give his career a whole new level, and as he said, “I want to be part of this Island”. From techno to tech-house and even some tropical sounds like “lambada”, if the mood is right, Kurt is high a level crowd reader. His last set during boot camp set the mood for the rest of the afternoon filled with Funky sounds. With a lot of ambition and a meticulous attention on self-promotion, we hope to have some Furkan Kurt around the island for a long time. Go Furkie!”
So, stay tuned because of Ibiza by night will update you.
